Where is the Napkin?

So the question everyone wants the answer to is “What did Dion promise Orchard?”

This is not about Dion, who is an outstanding guy. However there are some Liberals who do not like the blackmailish way David Orchard does politics. He is making his supporters look like political mercenaries. If Dion falls off the ballot, are Orchard's supporters following Dion or not? Can Stephane make David Orchard sign a “long-term” napkin…errr membership so he can at least stay in the Liberal Party?

I see that this is the Iggy blog message.

The simple answer is that there is none. If there was one, Orchard would be waving it in the air.

As fellow Liberals, we should not be taking down this reminder of the destruction off the PC Party.

Black Mail, what are you talking about Antonio? His assurance from Peter MAckay that the latter wouldn't join the Progressive Conservatives with the CRAP. Hardly blackmail. And I can tell you first hand Orchard is much more polite, approachable, likable and familiar with Canadina politics that your candidate, who did nothing but talk about himself over female speakers including Aline Chretien at the King Edward Accord.

As far as being "anti-free trade", well that softwood lumber deal and the architechts of free trade themselves speak against free trade with the US. As far as anti-SSM, so are several unchallenged Liberal MP'S including mine, who were allowed a free vote. Hardly a reason not to take his support.

sigh

apparently my personal opinion is a reflection of a Liberal leadership candidate.

Denise, you know that I take issue with people who called themselves Paul Martin Liberals, especially Jean Lapierre.

David Orchard is a roving political party. My view of him has not changed AND would not have changed even if Orchard supported Michael.

My comments were directed at Orchard, not at Dion.

I am, however, surprised that Jason Cherniak implied I was a campaign mouthpiece, which is compelte garbage. I have taken issue with Michael's positions in the past. I will continue to do so if necessary.

Is it Dion's official position that Maurizio got screwed by Sorbara...I men, his campaign blog director Rob Edger and Jason Cherniak both said so. Let's not fill our heads with delusions of grandeur, we do not speak for candidates, they speak for themselves
