Will This Be Repeated At Toronto Fundraisers?
An excerpt from the Leaders Dinner in Montreal tonight
“I said that we Quebecers formed a nation when Stephen Harper had goose bumps hearing talk about distinct society. I have never seen any opposition between the Quebec nation and the Canadian nation. I am a little guy from Quebec [City]; there is nothing too nice for the city of Quebec. Quebec [City] is the cradle of Quebecers, Quebec is the cradle of French Canadians and all North American francophones. But the country we know, Canada, would never have been possible without [Quebec City founder Samuel De] Champlain and without what happened in 1608. Quebec is the cradle of the whole of Canada.”

What, no mention of the massive haul? That should keep the lights on anyways ;)
you dont want me to get into the details of all that steve. it will depress you
La Presse is reporting that there were 450 in attendance, and it raised about $300,000 net.
That doesn't seem too shabby, or did you see it differently, Antonio ?
Whatever the number that actually attended, I take the on record 825 tickets at 500 a pop as legitimate. The biggest challenge is money at the moment, however or whatever filled the coffers, you won't depress me :)
what was reported to me was 10% of the audience was unpaid volunteers and that several hundred tickets were sold at 100$ each to fill up the room.
And that probably was a Dion supporter, right Antonio? ;)
The fella in the paper says otherwise, as Steve says.
Now it's "several hundred". On my blog you just said:
Not everybody paid 500$, over 100 tickets were sold at 100$ to fill up the room. 10% of the 800 was also volunteers.
Over a hundred, or several hundred?
Like Scott said, I'll take the word of the spokesman, after all it all comes through in the wash, it's all reported. Why lie, then set yourself up the fool?
Just one point. I take your criticisms, and I offer my own, but your inability to allow for any positive development, almost makes your point of view irrelevant. Liberals do A, Antonio responds with B. I mean we already know the response prior to the issue, so really where is there any sense of fair analysis? Your axe to grind clouds your judgement, it's just Antonio the Liberal hater...insert response here ;)
