Denis Coderre and the Bloc Need a New Hobby

Seriously, what the f@#$ is wrong with Denis Coderre, the BQ, Joke Layton and all the other people who want to criticize Hockey Canada for picking the best player as their captain?

Did Doan make disparaging remarks towards French Canadians? One linesman heard that. The league investigated. The league concluded Doan made no such remarks. Does Hockey Canada have to affect the way they build a team because of an allegation?

Innocent til proven guilty Denis. You would figure after all the shit people throw Coderre’s way, he would be the first one to accept this, but I digress…

So Denis, BQ, Joke et al, until I see you guys calling for the CBC to fire Don Cherry for all the racist shit he has said over the years, keep your traps shut, and let the kids play hockey.

If opposition MPs keep wasting their time on this, then Stephen Harper can continue to do whatever he wants…maybe THAT should become their new hobby…

Speaking of Don, it's been said before and I'll say it here.

When you do something that makes DON CHERRY say you're being ridiculous, and HE's the one who looks reasonable in the argument, you know you've got problems.

As long as you're handing out penalties their one foul in your blind spot:

On Monday, Liberal leader Stephane Dion said the Tories’ silence on the issue was “shocking” while Bloc Quebecois leader Gilles Duceppe admonished the government for not taking a stand on an issue that was disrespectful to Francophones. NDP leader Jack Layton said Doan’s captaincy would “cast a shadow” on Canada’s participation in the tourney.

I love how people insist Doan said something when the league has already cleared him.

I thought Dion would be smart enough to stay out of it.

But while we are on the topic, I wonder what Dion has to think about Don Cherry

At least Doan didn't refer to anybody as a desperate pandering politician. That would have been truly offensive.

Denis Coderre has done the country and his party a huge dis-service.

What is he thinking ?

If he is influential in advising Stephane Dion, we are in trouble.

And if Stephane Dion is listening to the likes of Denis Coderre, we are really in trouble.

“And if Stephane Dion is listening to the likes of Denis Coderre, we are really in trouble.”

Actually, Dion chose Prioux as his Quebec Lieutenant, bypassing Coderre. Ottawa Citizen May 3

“Federal Liberal leader Stephane Dion has appointed Hull-Aylmer MP Marcel Proulx as his representative in Quebec, responsible for fund-raising, recruiting candidates and communications between the party leader and riding associations.”

Coderre gained a lot of popularity over this in Quebec, but I am not pleased at all, and I will let him know when I see him.

Denis is a good guy, but he needs a new hobby.

I actually haven't seen any quotations from Coderre on this at all. It's all been Proulx for the Liberals.

Coderre, of course, made a big stink about it in 2005 and then was sued by Doan (to which he countersued). But has he even said a word publicly about Doan's captaincy???

Is this really true, or just one of your jokes?
