Where was Jason Cherniak’s Petition Asking Stronach or Brison to Resign?

Are we all taking the Mark Holland crash course in Mock Outrage?

Am I outraged over the Khan defection? Not really. This is politics. The governing party has a tendency to pick off opposition members. Jean Chretien was uncanny for doing this. For that, we call him smart. Now Stephen Harper gets the closest MP he will ever get to Toronto, and for this we call him evil?

The only petition to get Khan to resign that I will sign will have to be from someone who also had one asking Belinda Stronach or Scott Brison. In the mean time, can somebody start a petition asking Harper to poach Tom Wappel? That I would support whole-heartedly.

Antonio, I know you haven't been in this country a long time, but you have a better sense and understanding of Canadian politics than other people who damage the reputation of the liberal party by not thinking before doing stupid actions.

Although we have disagreed in the past about the liberal leadership, if more liberals were like you and not like Cherniak and Shoshana, the hobbit and the nutjob, the liberals would be a stronger party.

Now that's the best thing i've heard you say in months Antonio. The take Wappel too campaign is brilliant. Even better, if he is simply asked to step aside by the new Leader. Him an a couple of others I can think of in the GTA so the Liberal Party can be liberal. Anyone who seeks nomination should have so swear to uphold the charter no matter what. That's the key difference between Liberals and Conservatives and getting rid of someone like Khan only helps with that distinction.

Let's do something to encourage Wappel's defection. I am going to start a campaign called "Get Harper to take Wappel". Fellow bloggers, let's make Wappel's position in the Liberal party so tenuous that he will be forced to defect and stand down.

I get asking for a petition on Stronach, but why Brison? He only switched parties after his abandoned him. The two conservative parties joined into a new party, which ultimately means he was without party and had to make the decision to join them or not. He chose not to and joined the Liberals instead.

because the people of that party chose to merge Kyle.

The grassroots of the Tory party made a decision. Andre Bachand, the lone Quebec PC, sat as an independent, as did 2 others.

Scott got the coveted parliamentary secretary to the PM job, and naturally, took it.

What's more, Brison actually voted for the merger between the PCs and the CA, and then ran off to the Martin benches just a few days later.

I regret that folks like Bachand and even Joe Clark didn't come along with the merger, but at least they had the class & stones to be consistent about it.
