I am Staying on Liblogs for Now...

I have sent an email to Jason Cherniak expressing my dissatisfaction with his removal of audacious ontology from Liblogs because a co-blogger put up an NDP ad.

We should all feel sorry for Jack, when the NDP has trouble finding a microphone, it is desperate times…

Either way, this smacks of censorship, and is, in my opinion, out of line.

This is hardly the first time me and Jason disagree. I believe he should do the right thing and let audacious back on…

Liblogs IS NOT ABOUT CENSORSHIP.

Edit: I have spoken to Jason, and made my point quite clear. Changes are forthcoming and I will explain later when I get home from work.

"It is important to note that the only "editing" is to ensure that Libloggers are not either members of other political party blog lists or clearly misusing the list to mislead readers. "

That is the present Liblogs rule...

Jason's explanation

"Liblogs will have new directors and officers following the AGM in April. They will take a more active role in list management so that it is not only me making decisions. However, until then things stay as they are."

with good reason...

"While I might have reconsidered the audacious ontology decision if he had continued the private conversation, I am not willing to negotiate under public pressure. If I do it once, then I will have to continue doing it."

Yes, it is the Lays Chip argument but it does apply. We will see what gives at the Liblogs AGM, until then I stay on Liblogs...no use further degenerating the sideshow.

In the meantime to audacious, prove to me you are two people blogging (i wont forward the message to Jason) and I will lobby to get you back on.

i appreciate you standing up; not just for me, but for the principle of censorship regarding all bloggers.

Audacious does regularly censor comments that disagree with her, even when they are respectful and simply a difference of opinion. Secondly, she is not a Liberal and has stated so many times. The question is do you have to be a Liberal to be on Liblogs???

However, Jason has also silenced other female bloggers and has regulary displayed overt mysoginy or hatred of women who have voices.

Jason feels this is his own personal forum, not a Liberal Forum, while he refuses to be responsible for its content.

He has proven, yet again, THAT HE IS IN FACT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONTENT ON LIBLOGS. Indescriminantly removing those he so choses.

I believe it only a matter of time before Jason is personally sued and the other party will win based on his actions. There is no corporation responsible for the content here, only Jason, a man with a raging Napolean complex which any who have met him and dealt with him could not deny.

The Liberal Party should form its own blog aggregate based simply on membership in the Liberal Party with the ability to remove and comments or posts upon complaint like the Globe online comments section.

There are many Liblogers who are not Liberal Party members such as Wingnutter and others, so Jason's rational is only personal, yet again. He will be burned by this eventually.

was wondering where audacious had gone, as i only saw her posts on the bloggingdippers.

i find the idea that these blog aggregators are meant to be echo chambers for partisan sycophants to be disheartening. having libloggers who support other parties is not treasonous and does not pose a threat to the liberal party, imo. whatever happened to the big tent???

if audacious is to be banished for her ndp sympathies, then saskboy will be next for his green and sask party sympathies, closet lib for his neocon sympathies, michelle's world for her likud sympathies, fuddle duddle for his love of separatist dogma, wingnutterer for his nutter party sympathies, sb for her bats-in-the-belfry party sympathies, and cherniak for his hobbit party sympathies...and so it goes. let the witchunt begin, as only the ideologically pure will survive this bloodletting.

how do you say "pigeon-holed"?

The whole point of Liblogs is that it is for Liberals who blog!

Jason membership in the Liberal Party has not ever been one of the requirements to be on Liblogs. Several Liblogers are not in fact Liberal Party members. So are you lying??? Yep looks like it. Good luck with that lawsuit when it happens, and it will. Judges are pretty good at seeing through crap Jason.
