Liberal Ad Hits The Mark

Tory Ad: Dion is not a leader

Liberal Ad: Dion being a leader

Turn off the Death Star boys (Oh wait, they DID!)

Back to the ad, how can I be so simplistic?

Well, people don’t really know the back story behind Cop 11, and they frankly don’t need to.

They see Dion being a leader in front of credible people. (Cue Picture with UN logo)

Dion seems to know what he is speaking about. (Cue Dion speaking coherent English and actually saying something)

Dion needs to be assertive. (Cue the GAVEL!)

Dion needs to be excited. (Cue the fist pump)

The ad does what it has to do to blunt the effect of the Tory Ads. Overall it hits the mark.

And it's positive...which can't hurt

Har har... more of the wimp stuff you're trying to portray him with Chucker?? Go back to the Blogging Tories site and explain how Harper and the Cons putting the War Room into mothballs and tightening poll #'s is a great thing for the Conservatives.

Antonio... 2 posts in a row I agree with you on.. Are you feeling ok??

Chucker, you ever watch her show? Judge Judy is one tough SOB. Is Stephane swings a gavel half as hard as Judge Judy he's doing fine...

bcer,

I totally agree, actually. Judge Judy could run my life and I'd be very happy.

scott,

tightening polls are a great thing because it makes Liberals feel strong enough to trigger an election. please, please, please: do it.

The other part that is really good is when he bangs the gavel he says: DECIDED!

How's that for decisive leadership?

Big deal. It's an ad about a meeting, which Dion presided over because it was Canada's turn, not because he had, or has, any competence in the matter, or as a leader.

Brad Lavigne was right. Dion can chair a meeting. Boy, is that ever going to set the record straight and Canada a-talking. Better chance, I think, with him deep-throating a hotdog! He ought to be a million laughs on the BBQ circuit this summer, eh?

erik,

you know that I write endlessly on how awesome Dion is all the time right?

Let's be honest, ads (especially outside election periods) are aimed at people who care about politics about 2 minutes a day.

The tory ads portrayed Dion as a weak leader. These ads had all the right images to show otherwise. Pardon the bad pun but these ads got the job done.
