When it rains…

The fun keeps pouring in for Stephane Dion in his native province of Quebec…

3 Quebec by-elections are under way and the Roberval contest popped into the news this morning as the Liberal candidate forgot to tell her fearless leader a little secret…

Here is what she had to say about the way she was chosen…

“I am happy to have come to this moment here because the party has cleaned up its act. The party is more rigorous in the selection of its candidates. Our leader Stephane Dion is demanding of himself and of others. He wants to be surrounded by go-getters. The Liberal Party is at its best to serve the population.”

What was the little secret you say?

Apparently, Mme. Boulanger is a member in good standing of the CONSERVATIVE PARTY OF CANADA!

Oops!

Some might say that Stephane Dion may be evaluating his candidates the same way teenage boys evaluate their dating prospects in high school...any girl will do.

Unfortunately for Stephane, with the ridings these candidates are running in...he may end having a worse record with women than Jason Kenney.

Either way, recruiting a Conservative to run for the Liberals is a good thing. The Conservative not tearing up her conservative card before she runs is a bad thing.

Top 5 Pieces of Evidence Outremont is a Gong Show

I posted the Liberal sign from Outremont the other day, but what I didn’t tell you is that this picture was the only sign my friend Tarek could find that was not vandalized.

Some of the funny pictures we found, and some reasons why the Gong Show will continue into September…

1) The Liberal Candidate, the foreign affairs expert, is running with a Green Poster, symbolizing the environment.

2) The NDP candidate, the former environment minister, is running on Afghanistan.

3) The Bloc, who seemed poised to win this riding, is trying their hardest to lose…choosing somebody who is so little known, they put Duceppe on the poster to remind everyone.

4) The Tory candidate attacks Stephane Dion for “being a top Quebec minister during sponsorship and doing nothing”, yet won’t say anything about Paul Martin because former PMPM and M. Duguay share a grandson. That will be a great Christmas dinner at the Martin-Duguay residence...

5) The vandals in this riding are out in full force…

The Big Green Machine

Things are a-changing in my former party. The Liberal Party has gone Green. Between a pillar of environmental sustainability and the Dion-May non-compete pact, the environment has become the new issue that will drive the Liberal Party.

The Outremont by-election is seen to be a litmus test for Stephane Dion’s shaky leadership, especially in the former Liberal fortress of Quebec. So how does the Liberal Party and their fearless leader plan on showcasing their candidate?

…naturally, they went Green...maybe a little too Green

How many people would guess this is the Liberal poster?

I guess the real question somebody should ask Dion is, why did you lose the red?

I guess we will now see the Big Green Machine in action on September 17th.

Props to Tarek for the pictures…
